01 — Overview

Why TREASoURcE?

TREASoURcE aimed to initiate systemic change by developing circular economy solutions in cities and regions for previously underutilised or unused plastic waste, end-of-life electric vehicle batteries and bio-based waste and side streams.

Implementing these solutions together with companies, societies — including citizens, consumers, communities and regional actors — and field experts significantly increased product and material circulation in the Nordic and Baltic Sea Regions.

The combination of cities and regions enabled large reach and bigger impact, boosting the replicability and scalability of the solutions. They helped regions decouple from fossil virgin resources, increased resilience, decreased greenhouse gas emissions and contributed to climate-neutral economies.

02 — CLIC Innovation

CLIC's role: communication, partnerships & strategy

CLIC led the communication and dissemination activities (WP8) and the Symbiotic B2B partnerships SE-DEMO task, and contributed to identifying regulatory barriers and building circular economy strategies (WP1).

WP8

Communication & dissemination

CLIC leads the communication and dissemination activities — sharing results and engaging stakeholders across the targeted sectors in industry and research.

SE-DEMO

Symbiotic B2B partnerships

CLIC leads the Symbiotic B2B partnerships task, building on its wide networks across the CLIC cluster and relevant Finnish stakeholders.

WP1

Regulatory barriers & CE strategies

CLIC contributes its experience from previous projects in identifying regulatory barriers for sustainable development and building circular economy and regulatory strategies.

Strong networks across the target sectors in both industry and research through the CLIC Innovation ecosystem
Extensive networks to the relevant Finnish stakeholders
Existing cross-border Nordic networks, extended to deepen circular economy collaboration
Experience identifying regulatory barriers and building CE and regulatory strategies from previous projects
